Education Project
Our aim is to encourage understanding and acceptance of different faiths and cultures among primary school children in P6 and P7, Key stage 2.
Working closely with children in two different schools per town, the Artsawonder project consists of one introductory assessment meeting followed by 3 further workshops aimed at discovering, understanding and valuing different cultures and faiths.
By using arts and music during the project Artsawonder hopes to celebrate cultural diversity, promote an acceptance of “others”, an affirmation of equal opportunity and an increased sense of citizenship.
The concept introduced in the Rostrevor Declaration of a “higher quality disagreement” will be presented and discussed.
This will include the redrafting of the Rostrevor Declaration adapted to Primary schools and the composing of a song. The last workshop will gather children from both schools.
