ARTSAHEALING (From 2021)

AAH is being driven and programmed by US Professor, Doctor of Psychiatry and musician, Bruce Victor with Rostrevor Musician and Composer Brona McVittie.

In our work with Music and Healing down the years we have been intuitively aware of the value of music as a contributor to Well-Being. We have also been aware of the importance in today’s world of having an academic and scientific rationale to underline that intuition.

During FGF and day of Music of Healing event last year (2022) we convened several experts in this field including Dr Bruce Victor, Cambridge Sociology Professor Dr Darin Weinberg, Traditional Sean nos Singer, Iarla O’Lionárd, Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist, Barrister,

Human Rights Activist and Artist. Geralyn Mulqueen as well as long-time friend, renowned Doctor Gabriel Scally. The findings of the daily seminars regarding ART and Health Connections were highlighted in the evening MOH concert to a full house which included special politician guests, Colum Gildernew, Chairman of NI Assembly Health Committee who sang a song and Dr John Kyle.

Gabriel’s reference to Health in the Rostrevor seminar was quoted by Bruce just last weekend to seed a second conversation and seminar in Cambridge University
